Sony recently gave the PlayStation 3 a big boost in hard drive space, but bundled it in with the PlayStation Move. Now the PlayStation.Blog has announced that the 320 GB model of PS3 will be coming as a standalone unit, without the Move bundle. The new SKU is shipping today to retailers, and should be available soon. It will cost $349.99, which is only $50 less than the Move bundle. On the other hand, it’s $50 more than the 160 GB model, and offers double the space.
The model is said to be in support of an increased focus on digital distribution, to make sure users will have room for games and movie downloads. If you’d rather just take the plunge for the Move bundle version, it should still be on shelves, and it includes a Move controller, PlayStation Eye, and Sports Champions.
